Leaders of some of Israel’s most prominent human rights organizations say they are working in an increasingly hostile environment and coming under attack for actions that their critics say endanger the country.

Moving Policy Shapers toward Social Change
On Monday, SHATIL, along with 18 Fellows and more than a dozen social change organizations, celebrated the completion of a two year pilot program, which trained a cadre of economists and other professionals to promote socially sensitive government policy.
Through their participation, the Fellows, all senior staff in government offices (including the Ministry of Finance)  and other professional bodies, made lasting contributions to some of Israel's leading social change organizations. In addition to theoretical learning, each fellow in the Socioeconomic Policy Shapers Program completed a practicum at an environmental, human rights, advocacy, health, immigrant or other social change organization and developed (or joined) a project there...

Israeli troops broke medical ethics - rights group

Physicians for Human Rights-Israel (PHR) described alleged incidents which "reveal that not only did the (military) not evacuate besieged and wounded families, it also prevented Palestinian (medical) teams from reaching the wounded".
