PHR-Israel at Medecins du Monde's 30th Anniversiry, Paris. 6.4.10

Dr. Ruchama Marton, Founder and President of PHR-IL, was invited to take part in MdM's (Medecins du Monde) 30th anniversary event, in Paris, on June 4th 2010. At the event's NGO round table, Dr. Marton presented a paper titled "Political Independence and Relations with the State".

Dr. Marton at APHA 2009

Dr. Marton, president and founder of PHR-Israel, was invited to take part in 2009 APHA (American Public Health Organization) Annual Meeting. The conference took place in Philadelphia Nov. 7-11 and was a large event with 12,000 attendees and more than 1,000 scientific sessions.

Dr. Ruchama Marton at Izmir Conference, Turkey, 27 – 30 October 2009

Dr. Marton, President and founder of PHR-Israel, was invited to take part in an international conference titled "Right to Health as a Bridge to Peace in the Middle East". The conference was organized by international health organizations and held at Izmir, Turkey. Dr. Marton addressed the issue of torture in Israel and called the WMA and WHO to take practical actions to avoid doctors and health personnel compliance in torture (see link to response article in BMJ).
